How long will I need to work with you?
As a solutions based therapist, my focus is to make treatment as short term as possible. I believe in only dwelling in the past based on how it affects your present and moving as quickly as possible to a solution for your troubles. That said, the length of therapy is very much dependent on the circumstances that bring you in.
My entire family needs assistance. Will you see other family members in sessions?
If circumstances are affecting other members of your family, I will see them as part of the overall family system. Outside of counseling related to family circumstances, I do not see children or teens.
How long is a therapy session?
Therapy sessions average 55 minutes per session.
What times do you offer appointments?
Appointments are available during the day, select evenings and Saturday afternoons.
What insurance do you take?
We take a variety of insurance including,
but not limited to:
- Aetna
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Coventry
- Magellan
- Gilsbar
- Humana
In order to determine whether you are covered, please contact your insurance company and find answers to these questions:
- Does my plan have mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible and, if so, has it been met?
- How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
- Do I have co-payment and if so, what is it?
- Is primary care physician approval or pre-authorization required?
Do you offer a sliding fee scale?
For clients without insurance or whose insurance I don’t currently take, I do offer a sliding fee scale.
