For the past 16 years

I have been a practicing therapist working in private practice, within private companies, in hospital settings and as a mental health therapist in IOP/PHP programs.

I believe in short term, solutions focused therapy, which focuses on end goals rather than just problems and often leads to a more rapid change in clients.

Becoming a therapist was a change of career that came after my children were raised and I left the corporate world behind.  It was a passion for motivating others to become who they wanted to be and who they should be that led me into this field. I realized that my calling was bringing change to people’s lives in a practical, solution based manner unlocking their fullest potential.

When clients describe our time together, they often say it’s relaxing, laidback and powerful all at once.

I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling, a Masters Degree in Curriculum Development and a BA in Education. I am state and nationally certified and have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialetical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship issues, Bipolar Disorders and Personality Disorders.

In addition to my private and hospital practice, I am a certified LPC supervisor guiding new counselors during their internship in their final stage towards licensure.  {Note:  no interns will be present during our sessions}

ON A PERSONAL NOTE, I’M AN ANIMAL LOVING, MOTHER OF TWO AND GRANDMOTHER OF TWO {SOON TO BE THREE}.
